Houthi Campaign Abducts Over 30 People, Including Officers and NGO Staff

The Houthi militia has escalated its crackdown and abduction campaigns in areas under its control, kidnapping more than 30 people in the capital, Sana'a, over the past 24 hours—among them military officers and humanitarian organization employees.  

Local sources revealed that the security operation, led by Ali Hussein al-Houthi (son of the militia's founder), targeted military personnel affiliated with the group, as well as humanitarian workers. The fate of the abductees and their whereabouts remain shrouded in secrecy.  

These developments come amid rising internal tensions and deepening divisions within Houthi ranks, fueling fears of an internal purge under the pretext of security measures.  

The campaign coincided with a recent media escalation by the group, including warnings of alleged "sedition plots" led by what they called "domestic agents." Militia leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi promoted these claims, threatening to pursue those he labeled as "traitors collaborating with the Israeli enemy."
