Yemen FM congratulates his US counterpart on the anniversary of Independence Day
Hisham Sharaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Yemen, has sent a congratulatory message to the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, on the occasion of the 241st anniversary of Independence Day on July 4th , in which he wished the American people and the United States prosperity, security and stability
In his congratulatory message to his American counterpart, the Foreign Minister expressed
the Yemen Republic's desire to continue bilateral relations with the United States in the framework of clarity, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs. The Foreign Minister Sharaf appreciated the history of bilateral relations in the past 45 years between the two countries .
"'Although the declaration of aggression on Yemen was announced in Washington by the Saudis aiming to get the United States involed in the war outside its borders, Yemen still sees hope in the American people, many leaders in different aspects of the government , and the Congress, especially those honorable and peace-loving, to stop the blind support for the Riyadh regime, and to support all efforts aiming to reach a just political and peace settlement towards ending the aggression and lifting the siege completely""'. The Foreign Minister said in his statement
Minister Sharaf stressed the importance of working towards serious steps to compensate Yemen for all its losses as a result of the aggression, to rebuild what was destroyed by Saudi Arabia and to mobilize internationl and regional financial and monetary institutions to develop plans and programs to rebuild and restore economic and commercial activities in Yemen
The Yemeni Foreign Minister also stressed the Yemen's stance towards security and stability for its people and all its territories
'Sana'a regime does not pose a threat against anyone, including the United States, and does not threaten the security of the Red Sea or the neighboring countries'. MR. Sharaf said
'Yemen is not an extension of Iranian influence, and the Yemeni people seek security, stability end peace and Yemen stresses the imperative of respect for its sovereignty over its territory and non-interference in its internal affairs' , MR. Sharaf, the Foreign Minister added
The Foreign Minister called for adopting and supporting the just, political , and peaceful settlement in Yemen and called for all involved parties in the Yemeni conflict to sit around the negotiations table , including the Saudis, the main financing party in the ongoing war , to reach actual and applicable solutions to end the ongoing unjust aggression
The Foreign Minister concluded his message wishing the American public all prosperity , happiness, and advancement, hoping that peace and stability will prevail all over the world under the conditions of respect , cooperation, and partnership to be the symbol of connection among all people of the world
