Houthi landmine explosion injured dozens of students at a school in Yemen's Sanaa
Dozens of students were injured in an explosion of a Houthi landmine inside a school in the district of Bani Matar on the outskirts of the Yemeni capital Sanaa.
Local sources told Khabar Agency that dozens of first-grade elementary students were injured in an explosion of a landmine left by the Houthis at Al-Qalees Primary School in the Bani Matar district.
Five students were critically injured, while more than 25 others suffered varying injuries. They were taken to a hospital for treatment. The sources said.
Some school classrooms have been converted by the militia into warehouses for mines and ammunition, increasing the risks to the lives of students and reflecting the deteriorating security situation in the region. The Sources added.
