Yemeni teacher dies in a Houthi prison

A Yemeni teacher died on Monday evening inside the central prison in the capital, Sanaa, which is under the control of the Iran-backed Houthis, as a result of his deteriorating health condition in prison.

Local sources told Khabar Agency that the teacher, Hasan Mohammed Yahya Al-Omari, died inside the central prison in Sanaa, after the court refused to transfer him to receive treatment in a hospital.

Al-Omari, was suffering from a blockage in the valves, and he remained in prison for more than a year and a half, while the Houthis refused to allow him to go out for treatment. The sources said.
