Houthi landmines continue claiming the lives of civilians in Hodeidah

Three civilians, including a child, were killed and injured in landmine blasts planted by the Houthis in several directorates of Hodeidah governorate in western Yemen over the past 48 hours.

Human rights sources said an 11-year-old child was killed in a Houthi landmine plast in the Al-Habalia area in Al-Jah Directorate, south of Hodeidah.

In another incident, a 43-year-old citizen was seriously injured in a Houthi landmine plast in Al-Rabesa area in Al-Hawk Directorate in Hodeidah city. The sources added that another 35-year-old citizen was also injured in a similar incident in Al-Jarbah area east of Al-Durayihmi city.

In less than two weeks, ten civilians, mostly children, were killed and injured in Houthi landmine plasts in Hodeidah governorate, which is one of the largest Yemeni governorates to be affected by Houthi landmines and explosives, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of civilians in recent years.
