Iran-backed Houthis abduct a number of teachers from a government school
The Iran--backed Houthis on Satrday have abducted a number of teachers from a government school in Mahweet province, which is under their control.
Educational sources said that Houthis, riding in a military vehicle, abducted several striking teachers from the Al Nahda School in the Huwaa area of the Bani Saad district in Mahweet, and took them to an unknown location.
The sources pointed out that the kidnapping of the teachers came under the orders of a person named Muthir Al-Tawil, who impersonates the position of the Director General of the Bani Saad district in Mahweet, due to their strike in response to the call of the Teachers Club to demand the release of teachers salaries that have been suspended for seven years.
The comprehensive strike organized by male and female teachers and the suspension of official work has entered its third consecutive week in Sanaa and other areas under the control of the Houthis, until all their legitimate demands are met.
