Iran-backed Houthis push hundreds of fighters to Taiz
The Iran-backed terrorist Houthis pushed hundreds of fighters to Yemen's third-largest city of Taiz (southwest), under the protection of a helicopter.
Local sources said that hundreds of Houthi fighters arrived in the city of Ibb, Tuesday, coming from Dhamar Governorate, and on their way to Al-Hawban area in Taiz Governorate.
The fighters who arrived on foot, were protected by a low-flying helicopter, while the Houthis intensified security measures and blocked the streets in the city of Ibb. The sources added.
According to the sources, the Houthi helicopter was landing in a large square in the courtyard of Ibb University, and then flying again towards areas north of the city of Ibb and returning towards the Hamza military camp.
The Houthis have been for weeks pushing military reinforcements to the fronts of Taiz governorate, in conjunction with a field escalation and bombing targeting the residential neighborhoods of the city, which has been besieged for nine years.
