Masam Project Dismantles 1,485 Houthi Mines in Yemen within a Week
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project (Masam) for clearing mines in Yemen, dismantled, during the last week of March 2022, a total of 1,485 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen, including anti-personnel mines, anti-tank, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
The project said in a statement that its field teams have dismantled 5,395 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices since the beginning of the month in a number of Yemeni governorates.
Since the beginning of the project, as many as 328.184 mines have been dismantled.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, seeks through the project to clear Yemeni lands of the mines that were randomly planted by the Houthi militia causing death and injury of innocent children, women, and the elderly.
