Gaza authorities: Israeli strike killed 41 from one family, death toll reaches 13,000
The health ministry in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Sunday said 41 members of one family were killed in an Israeli strike on their home in Gaza City.
The ministry released a list of names of 41 members of the Malka family it said were killed by the strike at dawn in the city of Zeytoun district.
Fierce fighting between Israeli troops and Palestinian fighters occurred in the neighborhood in the morning, according to an AFP journalist.
At least 13,000 Palestinians have been killed and 30,000 injured in Gaza since the conflict between Israel and Hamas started on October 7, Gaza government media office said on Sunday.
At least 5,500 of the dead are children and 3,500 are women, the statement added.
